LINK Community Transport

Our current services are focused on assisting older people and people with a disability (and their carers) in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, including the local government areas of Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Moreland, Nillumbik, Whittlesea and Yarra. We also run the community transport service for the City of Melbourne and the Craigieburn Community Transport Service.

The people we help

Do you know an older person or a person with a disability who lives at home but has difficulty getting out and about to do their shopping or meeting up with friends? These are the people we assist through our Out and About Community Transport Service.

Our Other Services

In addition to Out and About:

  • Various local governments and community groups use our drivers to help deliver their community transport services. These arrangements form our Contracted Services.
  • We undertake Advocacy to government, business and the community for long-term solutions to improve transport provision for people and communities, including Projects such as Hume Transport Links (HTL) and the Craigieburn Community Transport Service. We focus on ways that community transport can work together with public and private transport. We are active members and supporters of the Victorian Community Transport Association (VCTA).
  • On weekends and during school holidays, our vehicles are available for loan to community groups through LINK Vehicle Hire. Our Coburg based training room facilities are also available for hire by others.
  • We dedicate considerable time to training and supporting our most important resource, the people who provide our community transport services, our volunteers and paid staff. We also provide Training for other community groups and organisations on various community transport related topics.
