Thanks to Watsonia RSL Trust Fund, LINK Community Transport can now service even more people experiencing transport disadvantage.
LINK is a non for profit organisation helping the elderly and people living with disability and their carers live a better life and remain independent by providing safe and affordable transport to social, recreational, health and family commitments.
LINK has helped thousands of disadvantaged Melbournians get out and about and live a good life and prevent isolation which could lead to depression and other health threats.
The demand for affordable and safe transport for these disadvantaged communities is climbing rapidly and as a result LINK’s client volumes are increasing at an exponential rate.
To meet this growing demand LINK is implementing various growth strategies including IT and phone upgrades to improve capacity and enable a continuation of an excellent service delivery.
We would like to say a sincere thank you to the Watsonia RSL Trust Fund who granted LINK $5259 towards IT and phone upgrades.
As a non-for profit organisation we rely on support from the community to continue our very needed service to support some of the most disadvantaged people. It all starts with transport support! Without transport disadvantaged communities cannot get to other support services.
We invite all businesses, foundations and the community at large to help in any way they can.
