Whilst our primary source of funding for our Out and About Program community transport service is the Home and Community Care (HACC) program, a joint initiative of the Victorian and Federal Governments, we rely on public donations and support to enable LINK to continually address current and emerging unmet transport needs across the community. HACC covers the Volunteer Coordination of the program as well as assisting in covering the cost of our Volunteer Cost Reimbursement Payment.
This year we have been grateful to see the public/community contribute by way of ‘gold coin donations’ to our community transport service / programs.
LINK Volunteers receive a small reimbursement to compensate for their cost in traveling to our offices when working for LINK. Some of our volunteers offered to provide additional support in the office and fund raising activities which has been most helpful. All this support helps keep LINK’s heart beating.
In addition we have acquired partnership with well known and respected companies namely KPMG (Auditors) to provide LINK with the necessary ongoing independent advice and support. Their contribution and insight provided to date has been exceptional and we are most appreciative to be working alongside this nationally respected firm.
Our sincere gratitude is extended to our expert teams at Tieman Industries, Lowes Motors, Krupic Auto Repairs, S & J Smash Repairs, Coburg Tyre Service and NM Signs whose good service and competitive pricing has enabled our organisation to maintain a high standard fleet.
For a charitable, not-for-profit organisation such as ours, the support of donations, bequest, pro-bono arrangements, trust and foundations is often critical to not only address increasing operational cost, but also enable us to start new and innovative projects that addresses solutions for those experiencing transport disadvantage in the future.
We continue to be humbled by the increasing number of requests for LINK to solve transport related issues and we endeavour to maintain our leadership by maintaining our strong, continuous improvement philosophy. We know how much of a positive social impact it can cause to not just the person but also the community concerned.
If you or someone you know would like to support/donate/ partner with LINK to enable the importance of our work (and future projects) to continue to have a profound impact on individuals and the community, please contact us by emailing at firstname.lastname@example.org or Ph: 1300 5465 28.
