Michael Bellamy joined the LINK Volunteer Team in 2010. Becoming a Volunteer
If you enjoy driving and meeting people, this job is for you!
Do you know an older person or a person with a disability who lives at home but has difficulty getting out and about to do their shopping or meeting up with friends?
These are the people our Volunteer Drivers assist through the Out and About Community Transport Service.
As a LINK Volunteer Driver you’ll be driving the newest fleet of cars and mini-buses in town and you will go home after every shift with a satisfied smile on your face, knowing that you’ve helped make the world a better place. You will meet some amazing people and enjoy the many social and recreational benefits of being part of a great volunteer team.
Key Requirements: Drivers Licence. Experience Required: None. The LINK Team will provide any training required at no cost to you. Time Involved: Most volunteers commit to one full day per week, but half days are available. Office locations include Coburg, Kensington, Broadmeadows, Craigieburn and Hurstbridge. Costs Reimbursement: We provide all volunteers with a Volunteer Costs Reimbursement Payment of up to $25.90 per day in recognition of the costs of undertaking the volunteer role, most notably the costs of petrol for travelling to and from the LINK office. Uniform: We supply a uniform at no cost to you. For further details and to make an appointment to discuss your interest in volunteering, contact:-
