Other Community Support Services

In addition to our services at LINK Community Transport, other Community Transport services and those available through local government and the Home and Community Care (HACC) program, there a range of community support services available in Victoria that may be of assistance to older people and people with a disability and their carers. These include disability and aged care advocacy, community health, mental health and other services targeted to assist people on low incomes.

Unfortunately, there is usually no easy and neat way to gather information about all relevant services in one place, although initiatives such as Infoxchange Australia’s Service Seeker have been designed to provide a ‘one-stop’ across all types of services, while other Internet databases have been designed to provide easy access to particular types of services, eg. community health.

The following links may assist in exploring services in Victoria of relevance to you and others you be assisting.
