LINK Community Transport Inc. recognizes and respects the diversity of the people and communities that we support and are committed to developing and delivering services that respond to their specific needs and continually improving LINK’s capacity to accommodate them.
LINK is funded by the Victorian Government’s Home and Community Care (HACC) program to provide door-to-door transport services to aged people and people with disabilities and their carers. Our clients use this to meet their personal, social, recreational, educational and health needs.
Typical reasons for accessing transport services include:-
✓ Social and support groups;
✓ Health appointments; doctors, physio, dentist, podiatrist, chiropractors;
✓ Non-emergency hospital visits;
✓ Neighbourhood house and community centre programs;
✓ Visiting friends and family in private homes, hospital, community and Aged Care settings;
✓ Exercise groups;
✓ Early intervention programs;
✓ Childcare facilities specifically for support to the carer or an outreach program;
✓ School holiday programs;
✓ Overnight and weekend respite facilities.
